This course assists participants to develop their knowledge and skills in different aspect of health care. It provides the participants with information that will prepared them to function effectively in ensuring that wellbeing of the individual, family and community members they come in contact with are impacted positively.. The course outlines looks at both the physical and mental issues that are identified within individuals along the lifecycle. It teaches the holistic approach utilizing the biopsychosocial model in the delivery of health care. The theoretical aspects involves the use of evidence based research articles and other literature to inform the lectures and assignments.
This module introduces students to the principles and concepts of communication and interpersonal relationships in healthcare. It explores therapeutic interpersonal relationships and communication strategies used in healthcare delivery and introduces effective customer-service principles and practices within healthcare settings.
